Bar Cento: A tasty welcome letter to RNC guests, Bar Cento’s America pizza ($14) abstractly resembles an American flag using house-cured pancetta and mozzarella as the stripes and diced baked beets with balls of provolone as the stars in the left-hand corner. “We’re letting them know we were thinking of them,” says co-founder Sam McNulty. Best of all, the 14-inch pizza still tastes like the modern Italian bistro’s popular pies with its chewy crust. “It’s like rearranging your furniture to accommodate guests and make it special for them,” he says. 1948 W. 25th St., Cleveland, 216-274-1010, barcento.com
Main Street Cupcakes: If you haven’t had enough of Trump’s mug, you can get some serious face time with the politician at Main Street Cupcakes. The Hudson bakery is creating jumbo cupcakes ($5) featuring a Bitmoji-like image of his face alongside phrases such as “Make America Great Again.” Main Street also has regular-sized versions rolled in gold sugar crystals and sprayed with gold luster dust that appeal to the Donald’s penchant for gold-covered objects. “Our goal is to get on Ivanka Trump’s Instagram page,” says co-owner Sarah Forrer. “If we could get her kids with our 24-karat gold cupcakes, we’d consider it a successful run.” 238 N. Momocho: A special RNC-week menu at Momocho in Ohio City includes twists on dishes chef and owner Eric Williams envisions “70- or 80-year-old politicians” would sit around and eat such as the lobster thermidor fundido ($11). “I just have that image in my mind,” he says, “so it’s a play on that.” The traditional French dish gets a Mexican feel with a layer of baked cheese with peppers and onions. He’s also tweaking the dish’s creamy, buttery sauce by swapping out brandy for an apricot-infused tequila. 1835 Fulton Road, Cleveland, 216-694-2122, momocho.com
