For one day only, a hip west side dinning hall becomes a vinyl seeker’s paradise. The longtime principal tubist of the Grant Park Orchestra, Kaenzig is one of the most seasoned instrumentalists of his kind. With a knack for the symphonic — he’s worked with both Leonard Bernstein and Pavarotti — Kaenzig pairs with pianist Matthew Thompson for a special set with selections such as Hindemith’s “Sonate für Basstuba” and Robert Schumann’s “Fantasiestücke.” $12. Ms. Lauryn Hill’s MLH Caravan Diaspora Calling!
One of the founding members of acclaimed rap group The Fugees makes a stop in Cleveland on her latest solo tour. A celebration of “artistic beauty throughout the African diaspora,” Hill’s socially-relevant revue stems from its April debut in Brooklyn, and will feature musicians such as Seun Anikulapo Kuti, Paul Beaubrun and the Soul Rebels, along with the singer-songwriter herself. $65-$100.
