With a menu that adds a new item each Friday during the Lenten season, A. Smith's Restaurant features contemporary dishes such as two 3-ounce beer battered fried Lake Erie perch ($16.99). Executive chef Robert Klmpanik’s unique twist on the mild fish includes in-house seasoning and Yuengling traditional lager. “It has a very distinct flavor compared to other lagers and it pairs really well with the natural flavor of the perch,” says Klmpanik. Served with hand-cut fries and deep-fried Brussels sprouts, the sides highlight the scratch kitchen. “Everything is done by hand with care,” says Klmpanik. Prices vary.
