CAN Journal Fall Release Party
If you’re looking to get the inside scoop on everything arts-related in Cleveland, The Collective Arts Network Journal has got you covered each month. For their upcoming fall issue, come and celebrate with them during their release party which will have virtual discussions between Ed Parker and CAN’s editor Michael Gill, along with a virtual tour of the Edward E. Independent Together: 30 Years of Collaboration
Patti Fields and Ray Juaire create sculptures that use different objects to create new metaphors and pull out a variety of meanings in their work. This weekend, catch the opening of this special exhibit showcasing the solo works of the sculptors for the first time ever along with a virtual deep dive into their process as artists. Hosted by Heights Arts, attendees will be able to join the virtual opening of the exhibit through Facebook Live or Zoom, which will feature a Q&A session with head of the exhibitions committee, Greg Donley, along with words from the artists. The opening will also feature the Heights Arts Spotlight artist: Joseph Van Kerkhove, who is currently showing his printmaking exhibit at the gallery as well. 2020 Solon Summer Market
Since 2011, the Avant Garde Art and Craft shows have been known for bringing together different craft markets across the Midwest and have hosted events around Northeast Ohio including Rocky River and Chagrin Falls. This weekend, the market hits up Solon and will feature 40 vendors, including local makers, artisans, food trucks and different produce stands for shoppers to purchase a variety of items such as handmade soaps, vintage home decor and more.
