Ahuja, Monte

Monte Ahuja's Transtar Indstries was born out of a business plan he wrote for an entrepreneurship course at Cleveland State University. He formed Transtar four weeks after graduating from CSU in 1975. Through nearly 30 years of vigilant strategic planning and measured internal growth, Transtar burgeoned into an international business with operations in 25 cities and sales in 60 countries. Ahuja diversified Transtar by adding Nichols Performance Co. and Transtar Autobody Technologies. Ahuja serves on the boards of University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority and United Way.
