Cuyahoga Valley 5K and Family Fun Run at Old Trail School: June 7

Race through the trails of Cuyahoga Valley National Park at this 5K and family fun run on June 7. The 5K path weaves in and out of the National Park on mostly natural and wooden trails with 112 feet of elevation gain. The family fun run will take place on a flat, all-grass loop. runsignup.com

Towpath Twilight: June 13

This annual race on the iconic Towpath Trail will take place on Friday, June 13, with racers taking off at 6:30 p.m. at Sokolowski's Overlook. Towpath Twilight is an evening race that accommodates runners of various experience levels with 5K, 10K and 10-mile race options. The race benefits Canalway Partners, a nonprofit that supports the programming of the Towpath Trail, development of the Canal Basin and dozens more projects.  canalwaypartners.com

Where Will Color Take You?: June 14

The Sherwin-Williams Women’s Club is hosting the Where Will Color Take You? 5K and the one-mile walk or roll on June 14 at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. This event hosts a kid’s dash and includes a DJ, photo booth, games and more. Inside The Park Home Run: June 15

Have you ever wanted to run around Progressive Field? The Inside The Park Home Run 5K has runners dash around the streets of Downtown Cleveland, ending with the last mile on Progressive Field’s field. The race also features one-miler and kid’s dash options. This event benefits the Cleveland Furniture Bank’s mission to help those in need in Northeast Ohio through the beds for kids and furniture for families programs. runsignup.com

Hofbrauhaus Cleveland Half Marathon: Aug. 3

Need extra encouragement to finish that race? The Hofbrauhaus Half Marathon ends with post-race beer garden fun. This early morning race starts at 7 a.m. on Aug. 3 and offers 5K, 10K and half marathon options to suit runners of all levels. Tri CLE Rock Roll Run: Aug. 10

Triathletes should get ready to rock ‘n’ roll at Tri CLE Rock Roll Run in August. This multisport event offers a Super Sprint, Sprint and Olympic distance triathlon, duathlon and aquabike racing options. The triathlon features biking on the Memorial Shoreway, a swim at Edgewater Beach and a run through Edgewater Park.  rockrollrun.com

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Half Marathon: Aug. 17

This late summer race starts and finishes at the iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Downtown Cleveland. On Aug. 17, runners can choose from 5K, 10K, half marathon and relay races. Cleveland Metroparks Whiskey Island 5K: Aug. 24

Looking for a chill-timed run or walk to enjoy Metroparks trails? The Whiskey Island 5K explores the Metroparks’ newest trails including the Whiskey Island Trail and Wendy Park Bridge. This race starts at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 24, and begins and ends at Wendy Park. A portion of the proceeds from this event benefit the Cleveland Metroparks K-9 Unit.  clevelandmetroparks.com
