The Guardians of Traffic are taking on a hoppy new role — protectors of your beer. Local design firm Dang and Bell Co.'s $15,000 Kickstarter campaign, which ends Sept. 6, will fund the purchase of a laser engraver to make beer coasters with the iconic landmarks etched into wood. Each set, made of maple, walnut, cherry or basswood and hand-finished with linseed oil and Minwax, celebrates Cleveland and Ohio City's growing craft beer scene. "I live right by West 25th," says co-designer Susan Adamic. "I love that we can feel the revival of the city."
