You won't find any overspiced or heavy alcohol beers at this classic joint.

Don’t expect brewers Cory Ross and Greg McClymont to branch out far from the classic beer styles they love. Neither are fans of overspiced or heavy alcohol beers, so expect lighter, refreshing brews such as IPAs, golden ales and brown ales. Tucked inside an industrial park, Hudson’s first brewery offers earthy touches such as a 22-seat bar made from an oak tree and hop vines outside welcoming thirsty guests to the 12,000-square-foot space where a 10-barrel brewing system cranks away. “The growth of the industry started with people experiencing more of those styles that the macrobrews make,” says Ross. “If we veer away from that, then we won’t be representing ourselves.” Our Pick: The cherrywood smoked malt in the Cuyahoga Brown Ale ($6 for 16 ounces) clears the way for an easy-drinking brew.
