Food Truck with a Conscience
Most food trucks have a mission - feeding your face. But Manna Food Truck serves a higher cause than just your rumbling stomach. A partnership between Bethel Cleveland church and the Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, the food truck gives all of its profits to Bethel's outreach programs, which include backpack and Christmas stocking distribution events. So you can nosh on beef brisket sandwich with a cherry cola barbecue sauce ($9) and eggplant fries with pesto aioli ($3) created by former Saucy Bistro chef Matt Barnes while being charitable to your taste buds and the community. "A lot of people will read the [mission] statement on the side of the truck. When they get to the window, they'll ask me about it," says Barnes. "It's always been extremely positive. I've probably gotten more jobs [from] people wanting to support that situation." facebook.com/mannatruck
