You'll find us waffling about which of chef Phil Davis' creations to order at I Heart Waffles. We flip between the many sweet options and something savory — such as the Mexican-inspired TacOMG ($7.95) sandwich on a cornbread waffle or the sweet potato dessert waffle ($4.99). "We want to give people a chance to challenge their palates," says Davis. He puts that theory to the test with the glazed Donuffle ($2.95) — a Belgian waffle shaped like a stick doughnut and drizzled with one of 12 glazes such as Chantilly cream. "The Donuffle is my culinary response to the Cronut," says Davis. "I wanted to give Clevelanders something of their own." 16802 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Heights, 216-939-5277; 10000 Brookpark Road, Brooklyn, iheartwaffles.net
