Best Of Cleveland: Art "Display"

78th Street Studios' Watch It Wednesdays gives onlookers a behind-the-scenes look at the art making process.

Consider Watch It Wednesdays a new kind of backstage pass. The 78th Street Studios event is an immersive trip behind the scenes of its galleries’ vibrant artwork. Held the first Wednesday of every month from 5 to 8 p.m., the casual, ticketed evening ($20) offers a chance to chat with artists while they work on their latest projects. “We decided to pull the curtain back on the process and really make it something accessible to all,” says event organizer Susie Frazier, an artist and designer who has an eponymous gallery in the complex. But the reclaimed warehouse is no monastic art gallery. Artists encourage conversation and want you to join what Frazier calls “a mosh pit of all our creative energies.” Bring a friend, grab a drink and let the spirit of discovery guide you. 1300 W. 78th St., Cleveland, 78thstreetstudios.com
