Keene Cockburn wants you to stop being such a square about circles. The co-owner of Cocky’s Bagels, a food truck specializing in diverse bagel sandwiches, first started experimenting with everyone’s favorite round food as a kid. “It kind of just started for me growing up, making bagel sandwiches all the time,” Cockburn says. “It was kind of like my go-to thing to make at home.” After teaming up with his girlfriend, Natalie Bata, and using his name as an inspiration for the company, they started loading all sorts of delicious things on their bagels, from fried eggs on The Over Easy ($7) to three types of cheeses on The Grilled Cheesus ($7). Don’t forget to try the Fried Bagel Chips ($7) with Buffalo chicken dip, which satisfies as either a morning or a midnight snack. “Really we’re just trying to be a little bit different in the way people view bagels,” Cockburn says. 18616 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, 440-567-9467, cockysbagels.com
