Channel your inner Game of Thrones by taking a blacksmithing class at Larchmere Fire Works, a garage turned custom smithy. Each 90-minute class ($75) allows you to don a leather smock and step up to the glowing red forge and massive anvil with your hammer in hand. Work one-on-one with master artist and blacksmith Cassidy Anderson to learn all the basics, including fire control, twisting and tapering. Classes are all-inclusive, including materials and safety gear, so you can let your squire stay home. Try your hand at crafting metal flowers to household hooks, and leave with a growing sense of confidence. “These days, people throw things out when they look broken,” says Anderson. “Our classes can show you to repair, fix, repurpose and renew.” 12406 Larchmere Blvd., Cleveland, 216-246-4716, larchmerefireworks.com
