Salt & Honey Baking Co. creations are light-years away from those perfected by '50s housewives.

The three women behind Salt and Honey Baking Co. may be light-years away from the 1950s housewives who perfected the fine art of bundt cakes. But for Lindsay Hoftyzer, Celena Tousley and Susie Brown, the sculptural throwback is ready for a modern-day makeover. "My grandmother used to bake with me. So I use a lot of her stuff, and I just take it to the next level," says Hoftyzer. "I use a lot of butter and a lot of eggs, and those together make it super fluffy." Try one of eight signature flavors such as dark chocolate espresso and brown butter bourbon banana or the seasonal sparkling cranberry blood orange ($3 mini, $5 regular) with a blood orange olive oil cake, vanilla-thyme cream, cranberry Champagne compote, crushed pistachios and sugared cranberries. "It's like a party in a cake," says Hoftyzer.saltandhoneybakingco.com
