Police Lines

Finally, "Shots Fired" (January 2015) is a nonbiased, non-race-baiting article about what happened Nov. 29, 2012. Thank you for pushing past the norm and publishing news rather than ratings-boosting propaganda. I believe that officer Michael Brelo was trying to do the right thing that night. He tried to stop a threat to his and other officers' lives. In hindsight it may have looked bad, but at the time he was shooting, he knew and believed he was protecting lives.

Youth Group

For a long time, my children have been telling me about being heard and contributing to the community by having our youth involved with pertinent decisions in our city and our communities. For me, my mindset was always "children are seen, not heard." "Voice Activated" (January 2015) opens the door in my mind to what my kids have been saying all along. Thank you.
