CHARDON

Chardon Family Market

This quaint East Side village has the perfect place for a pop-up food shop — its historic square. On Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., June 6 through Aug. 29, you'll find local produce, honey, baked goods, kettle corn, herbs, meats, soaps, lotions and much more. And, of course, Geauga County’s famous maple syrup will be available at this shopping event.

BAY VILLAGE

BAYarts Thursday Market

The productions, events and arts festivals are not the only reason Bay Village’s visual and cultural arts center is adored — its backyard farmers market returns this summer. Every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., June 11 through Aug. 13, check out typical farmers market finds like local produce, baked goods and popcorn, along with art produced by local artists. This dog-friendly market hosts a variety of food trucks and features live music.

PENINSULA

Cuyahoga Valley Farmers Market

From May through October, this outdoor market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Dogs are welcome to join the festivities after 10 a.m. Since 2004, this producer-only collection of vendors has offered unique foodie options and goods, including handcrafted candles and natural health and home products. Its location in Cuyahoga Valley National Park also sets you up well for a hike.

MEDINA

Medina Square
Farmers Market

Main Street Medina’s more than 200-year-old downtown square becomes a lively outdoor shopping experience in the summer. Every Saturday from May 16 through Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the city shuts down Broadway Street to host more than 70 vendors. Live music, yoga demonstrations, gardening education and plenty of other activities round out the fun.

CLEVELAND

Tremont Farmers Market

While Tremont is known for its extensive bar and restaurant scene, this summer Lincoln Park is the place to dine, shop and find great live music. This market is open every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., May 19 through Sept. 29. Featuring more than 40 vendors, you’ll find farm-fresh produce, baked goods, coffee, ice cream, local crafts, nonprofit organizations, food trucks and more.

EAST CLEVELAND

Coit Road Farmers Market

The area’s oldest farmers market, first established in 1932, is open Saturdays year-round from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the summer season. Here you’ll find flea market vibes mixed with arts and crafts, secondhand items and more. But the nonprofit’s offering of fresh produce serves as an anchor for the community.

CLEVELAND

Old Brooklyn Farmers Market

Join Cleveland’s largest neighborhood on Thursday evenings at Loew Park for live music, interactive art activities and a weekly beer garden. This community-inspired market is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., July 9 through Sept. 24. Many Old Brooklyn vendors even source their produce within five miles of the venue itself, staying true to their brand of local.
