We’re always eager to let food whisk us away to faraway climes, and the bold flavors from George Seres’ Blaze Gourmet hot sauces and salsas are up to the spicy task. Take an island trip with Seres’ Sweet N Hot Mango sauce ($8.95), a fruit and fire combo of mango, scotch bonnet peppers and ginger perfect to pair with seafood. “It’s not going to hit you right away,” he says. While the sauce greets your palate with a sweet, tropical flavor, a big kick follows close behind. “It’s a creeper heat,” he says. For foodies searching for the perfect tortilla chip partner, the Wild Mustang Chipotle Black Bean and Corn ($6.95) salsa is a chunky, savory blast of the Southwest. “It’s got a nice smoky bite,” says Seres. Use It At Home: Pour Blaze’s creamy Avocado Jalapeno hot sauce ($8.95) on top of steak to add strong, fresh flavor with a fiery edge. 216-536-8788, blazegourmet.com
