Guarino's Restaurant

Old World kitsch is the best way to describe this throwback Italian restaurant. (Think beaded curtains and fringed table lamps.) As the oldest restaurant in Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood, Guarino’s is more about the experience of enjoying an evening with your loved ones in the restaurant’s cozy dining room than being wowed by the straight-forward fare coming out of its kitchen: staples such as spaghetti and meatballs, gnocchi and Italian wedding soup. And while the place has put a lovely patio out back and even added guest rooms upstairs to snare bed-and-breakfast business, it has for the most part remained lovingly unchanged.
