The fruit di mare ($90) at Acqua di Luca is the kind of awe-inspiring dish that demands your attention. When Luca Sema, chef and owner of Luca’s Italian Cuisine and Luca West, opened his latest restaurant in the Warehouse District in June, he set out to bring a wide swath of high-end seafood to landlocked diners. Inspired by his time as a teen growing up in southern Italy, Sema pulls together mahogany clams, tender mussels, fresh calamari, shrimp, scallops, Alaskan king crab and whole lobster cooked in a white wine broth for a perfect introductory dish that shines the light on what makes this spot special. “I love it because it has everything on it,” says Sema. “It’s a big dish that you can share with two or three people.” 500 W.
