The Plain Dealer’s Regina Brett (left) and actress Derdriu Ring cooked up the idea over coffee and a discussion of local libraries losing funding. “[We said] ‘let’s do something — let’s not just complain,’ ” Brett recalls. The evening’s two 90-minute performances are packed with a roster of more than four-dozen presenters (including Dan Chaon, Dee Perry, Dick Feagler, Joe Eszterhas and Kris Ohlson) who will read from one of their own works or an excerpt from a piece they love. Get your tickets now at (216) 795-0550. Come on. Think of all your library has done for you.
