The Guardians in the Playoffs: What We Saw at the Wild Card Series
The Cleveland Guardians faced off against the Detroit Tigers in the American League Wild Card series at Progressive Field this week.

Coming off of a historic comeback at the tail end of the 2025 baseball season, the Guardians enthusiastically entered Major League Baseball's postseason, facing off against the Detroit Tigers for the Wild Card Series.
Fans showed up early on Tuesday, cheering on the team at its home stadium of Progressive Field on a sunny, breezy fall day.
The team got off to a difficult start in the series with a 2-1 loss in Game 1, but then rebounded with an impressive 6-1 win in Game 2 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the team lost with a score of 6-3 in Game 3 and ended its postseason run on Thursday.
