Where else can you adore a 1970s Argentinian masterpiece and also catch an innocent showing of Ben Affleck’s Gigli? The brainchild of Cleveland’s art film laureate John Ewing, the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque has become a film geek’s haven with its 35 mm projectors, 7.1 Dolby digital sound and plush stadium seating. With about 40 showings a month, Ewing’s handpicked roster entertains a wide range of tastes from foreign debuts to Alfred Hitchcock classics. 11610 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, 216-421-7450, cia.edu/cinematheque
