The Must-Do List: Sing Karaoke at Tina's Nite Club

It takes stones and more than a few shots of Jim Beam for newbies to step up to the microphone and utter, oh so tentatively, the first labored strains of “Love Shack” by the B-52’s. This isn’t the shower or the car, after all, the only truly safe venues for tone-deaf anthems. No, this is Tina’s Nite Club, a gritty brick building on the edge of civilization and far from the judgment of sober critics. True enough, by the end of the song, the entire bar will be singing backup and you feel, for one brief, brilliant, hazy moment, like a star. 5400 Herman Ave., Cleveland, 216-651-8057
