As a reporter and producer for 90.3 WCPN, Castele covers local news, especially politics, while occasionally showing the influence of Comedy Central's newsy humor shows. "I actually really appreciated that Colbert's joke about the Cuyahoga fire hinged on the number of times it burned."— Castele's Aug. 27 tweet about Stephen Colbert's interview with U.S. Rep. Marcia Fudge. "I look a lot at how national reporters use their Twitter pages. Sometimes they talk about big stories and sometimes they don't," Castele says. "Basically, I wanted to be part of a conversation about life in Cleveland and what happens here every day." Castele offers a fresh take on local events, good links to others' work, a bit of pithy humor and a conversational voice that combines professionalism with enthusiasm.
