Women of Distinction: Anna Wiest

Anna Wiest is director of training for Sky Quest, a private airline that has served business and leisure travelers since 2001. Wiest is responsible for making sure the company’s 60-plus pilots meet regulatory compliance and FAA standards. She also handles recruiting and onboarding duties.

Initially hired as a pilot by Sky Quest in 2018, Wiest’s background includes international medevac flying and specialized aviation support for the U.S. Marshals Service. As captain of Sky Quest’s Hawker midsize business jet, which she flies monthly, Wiest has the respect of management as well as seasoned and new pilots — not to mention her husband, also a pilot, and their two black labs.

“In aviation, when you consistently show up locked in and with your head in the game, you can’t go wrong,” she says.
