We can’t get enough of exclusive stuff — limited-edition sneakers, small-batch beers and special collab T-shirts.
So that’s why Hook & Hoof’s bourbon locker program ($750 a year) has us so thirsty. Working kind of like a membership, each locker customer buying into the program has access to their own three 750ml bottles of a rare Blanton’s Single Barrel bourbon every time they come into the Willoughby restaurant.
Housed in custom-built dark wooden lockers suspended on the wall across from the bar, the bourbon was selected by co-owners Chaz Bloom and Hunter Toth after visiting the Buffalo Trace Distillery (where Blanton’s is made) in Kentucky for a barrel tasting.
It’s been so popular that there’s a waiting list for next year’s bourbon selection — a Weller Full Proof that will be rarer than the Blanton’s.
“This next bourbon’s untouchable,” Bloom says of the sweeter Weller. “We’re going to be one of the only places that I know of in Ohio that’s going to have this.” 4125 Erie St., Willoughby, 440-571-5312, hookandhoofdtw.com
