Some things just seem like magic. Like how Beet Jar Juice Bar turns a vitamin B12-packed powder made from a blue-green algae into a way-too-delicious-to-be-this-healthy smoothie.
The Hingetown health-focused spot’s popular Blue Majik ($9.50) tastes like milk leftover from your favorite childhood cereal, but without all those bad-for-you ingredients. “You’re getting 114% of your daily [vitamin] B12, which is great if you’re lacking energy,” says co-owner Molly Pamela, a lifelong health food enthusiast. Co-owner Joseph Joseph and Pamela are wizards when it comes to cashew milk, which they make in-house daily in a variety of ingredients.
But we’re most enchanted by Blue Majik. Somehow, the oh-so-sweetness is achieved by only adding dates, pink Himalayan sea salt and reverse-osmosis water to the powder-and-milk mixture — though we swear Lucky Charms have to be in there somewhere. 1432 W. 29th St., Cleveland, beetjar.com
