Milk and cookies are a timeless tradition that never goes out of style, but even the smallest detail can provide the sweetest upgrade. Although Allison and Robert Craig’s sweet potato pie is the dessert that kickstarted The Sweet Fix Bakery in 2014, it was their son Robert, co-owner of The Sweet Place Bakery in Cincinnati, who baked up the idea behind the cookie shot ($3) this year for the Cleveland Heights bakery.
Each ball of chocolate chip cookie dough is molded into the shape of a single shot glass. Then, it’s fully baked and coated with dark chocolate on the inside. The hardened interior turns this treat into an edible delicacy that can hold almost anything.
Fill it up with a splash of milk ($0.50) or Pierre’s chocolate or vanilla ice cream ($1), or top it off at home with coffee liqueur. “It’s almost like an ice cream cone or a drumstick,” says Allison. “You’ll still have a little ice cream lined on the inside as you bite into it.” 2307 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, 216-371-9866, thesweetfixbakery.com
