We're fans of J.R. Smith and Joe Haden as much for their on-point haircuts as their athletic abilities. The Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard and Cleveland Browns cornerback are just two of a strand of local celebrities who frequent Frank's Chop Shop on Euclid Avenue for slick 3-D hair designs ($40) ranging from images of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to iconic Cleveland symbols such as Chief Wahoo. "Nowadays, through social media, a lot of people want what's hot and what's trendy," says barber Jose Vasquez. "It helps when you get good ideas from everywhere." Each of the shop's designs are carefully crafted by cutting an outline close to the skin and using a combination of clippers and straight razors to fade the hair at varying levels to make the image pop. "When you go to an artist and you tell them to do whatever, that's the best way to work," says Vasquez. "I like to do mainly freestyle stuff because it's always different." 668 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, 216-515-1110, frankschopshop.com
