You won't find any aisles, shopping carts or weekly circulars at The Grocery in Ohio City. What you will find inside the 600-square-foot spot is bushels of vegetables and fruits from five local farmers, eco-friendly soaps and the greatest hits from 60 area food entrepreneurs. We can stand in the middle of the miniature grocer and easily grab our favorites such as Blaze Gourmet hot sauce, Clark Pope's bloody mary mix, Fruit Vibe cold-pressed juices and Wolf Boy Provisions hot dogs. But if we are short on time to cook, owner Rachel Kingsbury has got that covered too. A chalkboard announces daily breakfast and lunch offerings such as roasted eggplant and tomato wraps, peanut butter smoothies and more to on-the-go locals who have embraced the tiny place. "People really love the community feel of the Grocery," Kingsbury says. 3815 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, 216-543-6388, thegroceryohc.com
