Dianne Soucie begins her work at dawn. Armed with an assortment of 2-foot-tall graphic signboard letters, she wishes someone “Happy Birthday” by planting a larger-than-life greeting right in their front yard. Soucie is the mastermind behind Yard Party, an Olmsted Falls-based company that sends well wishes in bright, signboard messages stuck right in your lawn ($95). “The sun comes up and hits the right spots,” says Soucie, who designs and creates all the signs herself. “Sometimes you can get a really beautiful picture. You’ve done this wonderful thing. Everything falls into place and that’s the magic time.” The rentable greetings range from hot pink Sweet 16s paired with 2-foot car keys to 50th anniversary celebrations marked with champagne flutes or Tiffany boxes. Amp it up with customized details: footballs, Frappuccinos or Fender Strats. Whatever way you yard party, the personalized message is there for the whole neighborhood to see. yardpartypeople.com
