There's been talk that summer 2010 was a ho-hum movie season. Besides Iron Man 2 and Toy Story 3, there hasn't been a lot to get excited about. But the antidote to the A-Team arrives this month as Cinema at the Square brings a slate of summer hits from years past to the Palace Theatre. Here are a few of our favorites from the lineup. We guarantee any of them are better than subjecting yourself to a showing of Grown Ups.
Psycho
Original release: Aug. 25, 1960
See it now: Aug. 14, 8 p.m.
Alfred Hitchcock's classic will put an appropriate chill in your bones before heading into the sweltering heat.

Back to the Future
Original release: July 3, 1985
See it now: Aug. 19, 7:30 p.m.
The movie that captured our imaginations with a DeLorean and 1.21 gigawatts of electricity never gets old. Spoiler alert: Marty McFly doesn't get the girl (and that's a good thing).

Gremlins
Original release: June 8, 1984
See it now: Aug. 21, 2 p.m.
It's a creepy movie set at Christmastime, but Gremlins is an over-the-top summer spectacle.
