When 17 River Grille opened in August overlooking Chagrin Falls, operations manager Tim Davin created cocktails that payed homage to longstanding and former shops of the city. The Popcorn Shop cocktail ($12) is an exceptional addition: By soaking the 145-year-old shop’s Movie Original Popcorn in a heavy cream overnight, Davin has created a sweet and salty cocktail by combining that with Jameson Irish Whiskey in a glass rimmed with salt and sugar. “Every year I make my great aunt’s recipe for Bailey’s Irish Cream for Christmas, and I was just thinking about what we could do if we used popcorn in that recipe,” says Davin. 17 River St., Chagrin Falls, 440-893-0797, 17rivergrille.com
