The Parma business opened its doors early for customers, who lined up for their chance to bring home the bakery's famous paczki — especially its 2025 special flavors, the "Super Host Paczki" inspired by Superman ice cream flavors, and the mimosa paczki which owner Lidia Trempe created in honor of International Women's Day.

Neighboring business The Current Year, a record store, joined in on the party, spinning polka music.
Beyond the early-morning rush, both Rudy's and The Current Year planned more festivities to take place all afternoon. They connected with Pavement band member Bob Nastanovich for a show inside the record store — featuring a pierogi bar from Rudy's Strudel.
