Most cheap food comes in a wrapper, soaked in oil and bearing little nutritional value. Living up to its name, Rebol throws that notion out its glassy windows overlooking Public Square by serving food made without genetically modified organisms and grown organically whenever possible — all for $10 and under. We feel a bit rebellious getting the heaping bulgogi steak bol for just $9, especially when it’s packed with so many local ingredients. Cuts of beef flank steak are immersed in a marinade of honey, garlic and coconut aminos. It’s then placed atop a rice bowl sprinkled with a special spice and herb medley, then paired with green papaya carrots in a sweet pineapple vinaigrette, and topped with indulgent fried wontons and yum-yum sauce. Also Try: Spice up mornings with the Yolk Caliente ($6.50), two scrambled eggs, chorizo, cheddar and creamy bacon aioli on a brioche bun. Still need a boost? Down essential mineral-packed chicken bone broth ($3). We told you this isn’t your typical spot. 101 W. Superior Ave., Cleveland, 216-505-5898, wearerebol.com
