The formal start date for The White Flower Cake Shoppe’s new flagship location is today in Eton Chagrin Boulevard, and we could not be more excited to welcome it to the neighborhood … again.
What Is The White Flower Cake Shoppe?
In simple terms? A dessert destination! Since its original 2007 start date, the bakery has prided itself on crafting custom cakes, attracting a number of A-list celebrities as clients, including LeBron James, Shark Tank’s Lori Grenier, and Jay Z along the way. Outside of this, the brand also has its signature selection of ready-to-go buttercream cakes, french macarons, gourmet cupcakes, brownies, buttercream sugar cookies, cakesicles and now ice cream, featuring local favorite Pierre’s. Fun fact: They even provide vegan and gluten free options.

Info To Know
The premiere cake shop has made quite the name for itself, garnering the attention and adoration of Northeast Ohioans in need of a sugary fix. This strong fan base has led to four successful locations in the area: Solon, West Side Market, Strongsville and their original brick-and-mortar at La Place in Beachwood.
In spring, it was announced that in order to meet the demands of their growing fan base and expand their baking abilities, they would be relocating headquarters from Beachwood to Woodmere.
The following statement regarding the transition was published by their social media accounts in March:
“Our new space at Eton is more than double our current space, and already comes with equipment. Which means we are about to double down on our production capacity and the ability to expand even more!”

Brand Backstory
Owners Lauren Benz and Marianne Carroll were childhood friends since their school days in Mentor. Throughout their time in college and beyond, they each worked in the dessert industry, mastering their talents for baked goods and sweet treats even during their off hours by creating custom cakes for friends and family out of their homes. The home business soon grew thanks to a steady following of supporters leading up to 2006 when they decided to start The White Flower Cake Shoppe.
