On Thursday, Forbes revealed some of the speakers set to attend the upcoming Under 30 Summit hitting the city Oct. 8-11 at the Cleveland Public Auditorium.
Leading the pack is 33-year-old Machine Gun Kelly, who recently received his own honorary “MGK Day” in Cleveland in recognition of the artist’s sold-out 2022 FirstEnergy Stadium performance.
Other speakers include Aviator Nation Founder Paige Mycoskie, Comedian Matt Rife, WNBA champion Renee Montgomery and more.
The event marks the first of three 30 Under 30 summits planned for Ohio through 2025. Following Cleveland, the event will head down to Cincinnati and Columbus for the following two annual events.
“The 2023 Summit will bring together the best young minds across industries, venture capitalism, public policy and more,” Randall Lane, chief content officer of Forbes and creator of the Under 30 franchise, says in a press release. “Our goal with the next Under 30 Summit is to help spotlight Ohio’s talented workforce and ample opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors. We’re confident that Ohio’s entrepreneurial spirit will be felt on the world’s main stage.”
The summit kicks off on Oct. 8 with a happy hour, followed by the Forbes Under 30 Concert, which has featured household names like Shawn Mendes, Halsey and Jack Harlow in the past. The rest of the four-day stretch ranges the gamut from panels, public service and roundtable discussions to an Under 30 Bar Crawl and the closing party hosted at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
“To host the Forbes 30 Under 30 conference in the city that birthed the first billionaire … speaks to the importance of the Midwest and the role we have in terms of fueling ingenuity, innovation and entrepreneurship in this country,” Mayor Justin Bibb told Forbes.
