News Channel 5 anchor
How she caught our eye: Despite getting up at 1:45 a.m., this sweetheart of news greets us with a smile every morning. But there's more to this meat-and-potato-loving Southern girl than you see on TV.
The perfect date: Anything that involves a good meal, preferably steak and potatoes, and good conversation.
Something most people don't know about me: I am full of surprises. ... On-air Kimberly is very sophisticated and serious, but off-air Kim is absolutely nuts. She's silly and a lot of fun.
My passion: Helping young people to realize their potential. ... I talk to a lot of school and church groups.
Biggest turn-on: Somebody who is goal-oriented and has nice teeth. Oh, and someone who smells good. When a guy smells good, I could just eat him alive.
Biggest turnoff: Halitosis
I own too many: I don't own too many of anything. I don't like a lot of clutter. I'm not a person that collects things.
My favorite ... place in Cleveland: I love going to XO.
... book: Blink by Malcolm Gladwell
... musician/band: Luther Vandross
... sports team: South Carolina Gamecocks. That's my alma mater.
... TV show: The Real House Wives of Atlanta and Modern Family
... vacation destination: Barcelona, Spain
... dessert: Strawberry cheesecake
... blog: None
My usual hangout: My favorite hangout is at home. I'm really a homebody. When you spend so much time being on, it's nice to just be off.
In high school I was ... the homecoming queen, and I was voted most talented and most spirited. I was more outgoing.
And now I'm ... a little more reserved. I'm wiser and more mature.
My best feature: My smile
My bad habit: Organizing things that don't necessarily need to be organized. If you have a cup of pencils, I am going to find a way to organize those pencils. I will have some sort of system.
My first kiss: I was 5, and I was in church. He lived on my street and went to the same church. I walked up to him and kissed him. It was an innocent kiss. I just remember everybody in the church bursting into laughter.
My guilty pleasure: Anything that has carbs: potatoes, french fries
How my ex would describe me: I don't think they would say anything negative. I think my exes would like another chance.
Going out or staying in: Staying in. I will go out, I just prefer to be in.
Early, late or right on time: Late
Dogs or cats: I don't have either, but I prefer dogs.
Dancing ... yes or no?: Yes, behind closed doors. I'm not big on letting other people see me dance.
Twitter ... yes or no?: Yes
My longest relationship: About 3 years
Beer, wine or martinis: Straight vodka on the rocks without any chasers. I like to save my calories for the meal.
Roses or chocolates: Both, although I don't really care about either
My No. 1 dating rule: I won't date somebody who's disrespectful.
My deal-breaker: I don't know that I have one. I hate to ever say never. I can say something is a turnoff, but if he has a lot of other good qualities, we can work on the bad.
I hate when a date ... compliments me too much.
But I love when a date ... can have great conversation.
Worst pickup line: When people say, "What's wrong with you? I can't believe you're not married." They're trying to pick you up, but they are really putting you down.
If I could date anyone: I like men that have substance and who can teach me things, and I can teach them things. Character is really important to me. He needs to be kind, a good listener and goal-oriented. I really like guys who have goals and can make things happen. You can say that celebrity is good looking, but you don't know anything about who they are.
On a first date I never ... Kiss. But then, I don't like to say that I will never do something. I never say never.
Best place to meet someone: If I knew I would have that person.
Most unusual place I've met someone: I have never dated somebody that I've met at an unusual place. Most I've known from school or other social settings, and I've always known them first. I'm very selective.
