Ohioans Celebrate Stay Home Spirit Week
Gov. Mike DeWine announced earlier this week that in an effort to have “some lighthearted fun,” the state of Ohio would be hosting a virtual Spirit Week. For those of us who have been spending most days in our pajamas, Monday’s task of staying in your bedroom attire was a breeze. Wednesday’s Salute Your Hero asks Buckeyes to dress up as doctors, nurses, truck drivers, firefighters or teachers, draw a picture or share an appreciation hero. And for sports fans, Thursday may not feel like tailgating in the Muni, but diehards can sport their fave school or sports team’s gear.
Rock Hall’s Video Vault Spotlights 2000 Induction Class
We’re not sure what struck us more: the fact that 2000 was 20 years ago, or how impressive the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s induction class was that year (Nat “King” Cole, Billie Holiday and Clive Davis just to name a few). Relive it all on the Rock Hall’s YouTube channel where you can see live performances from Bonnie Raitt who sings “Thing Called Love” with Melissa Etheridge, Eric Clapton’s performance of “Tears in Heaven,” as well as James Taylor who delights with “Fire and Rain.”
Pixelate Photography Donates Photo Sessions to Frontline and Essential Workers
Local photographer and Cleveland Magazine contributor Jason Miller has found a way to give back to frontline and essential workers, and he’s making it easy for you to do the same. With his Future Family Photo Sessions, you can purchase a gift certificate for a 45-minute family photo session (which you can schedule at a future date). He will then donate a photo session to a frontline or essential worker of your choice. cleportraits.com

Get the sparks flying with his At Home Date Night menu available this Friday and Saturday. The decadent meal features a mushroom and beurre blanc French toast, salmon with lobster hollandaise, chocolate mousse and a bottle of wine for $80.
Western Reserve Academy Makes Video From Perspective Of Pets
Now that adults are working from home and students are using online learning, our pets are getting more attention and extra love. That inspired the students and teachers at Hudson’s Western Reserve Academy to create the “High School Pet Project,” a 2-minute video that goes inside the minds and thoughts of pets. It’s a creative and fun take that will have you finding Fido for some extra cuddles.
