>Shower or bath? Showers. A good hour-long steam-filled shower — there’s nothing better.
>Talking or texting on the phone? I definitely like both. I never thought I would like texting as much as I do, though. It is really convenient and sly — you can do it when it’s most inappropriate.
>Books or magazines? Books. I majored in English literature in college. I like the classics. Right now I’m reading a lot of Joseph Conrad.
>Your best feature: My sense of humor. I don’t think it’s my best feature, but it’s my favorite. It’s a bit sardonic, a little dark, a little sarcastic, a little ironic.
>Outside of work and sleep, what takes up the biggest chunk of your time? I like to play music; I play guitar. I do it every day — it’s very cathartic and very relaxing. I write songs —my voice is terrible, so I went the Adam Sandler route and try to write funny songs.
>How do you feel about living with animals? Absolutely. I have a dog, a little Boston terrier named Isabelle.
>What’s your favorite ... place on earth? The coast of Northern California, in the redwoods — that’s beautiful. Tuscany is hard to beat, and London, England. ... TV show? Anything on Turner Classic Movies. Nine-tenths of what I watch is in black and white. There’s something about the romance of those old movies, and the innocence of it, that I just love. ... drink? Diet Dr. Pepper or Riesling. Although if you ask me tomorrow what my favorite wine is, it could be Zinfandel. Your favorite wine is like your favorite song, it totally depends on the temperature outside, what color suit you’re wearing, what mood you’re in. ... food? Duck confit with a fine Pinot Noir — that is about as close as you can get to heaven I think.
