How I Approach My Day: I begin with exercise and quiet contemplation and reflection. I focus on tasks that must be accomplished that day and ask myself, “what am I doing to make a difference?”

What Motivates Me Right Now: My concern that as an enterprise, intercollegiate athletics at the Division I level is losing its focus on its role within higher education

What Would Surprise Someone to Learn About Me: I make an exceptional Thanksgiving dinner (turkey, ham, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, corn, peas and onions, stuffing, rolls, apple crisp and pecan pie).
