Hosted on LakewoodAlive’s Facebook, the 11th annual series launches this Friday with Carlos Jones & the PLUS Band’s laid-back, reggae style. Folk rock, jazz, swing, blues and indie are also on the series’ list throughout the summer, with local artists like Red Light Roxy, Theron Brown and Front Porch Lights among others, creating a Friday night atmosphere for every ear. The Dayton Dragons vs. the Lake County Captains at Classic Park
Minor league baseball’s not only a cost-effective way to get into stands and enjoy the sport, it fuels the feeling of local community with other fans rooting for the home team. This weekend, the Lake County Captains tread dangerous waters as they battle the Dayton Dragons. The first 1,000 fans through the gates on Saturday will receive a Picantes T-Shirt from Lake Health. Jordon Wong’s unabashed imagination wowed us in his exhibit, The 10,000 Things, at the Akron Art Museum, with bold lines and energetic colors. The large scale works, displayed in the Bud and Susie Rogers Garden until May 15, 2022, will be the focus of this weekend’s Family Day at the Akron Art Museum. Get ready to experience Wong’s inspiring work, participate in a self-guided scavenger hunt, run through bubbles, leap through hoops and create some art of your own to take home. Focus at the Bonfoey Gallery
Intrigue seeps from all corners of life, though it takes the right eyes to seize fascination beyond the ordinary. June is the last month to capture the Bonfoey Gallery’s Focus photography exhibit. Featuring the work of six different artists, the show displays varying subjects that collectively illustrate the power allotted to photographers to tell stories. Swap Meet, Meg & The Magnetosphere at The Beachland Ballroom & Tavern

This Sunday, The Beachland Ballroom & Tavern opens its doors to both Swap Meet and Meg & The Megnetosphere.
