Euclid Beach Park Family Fun Day
Take a trip down memory lane with this day that revives Euclid Beach Park. A staple of the Cleveland area from the late 1890s up until 1969, the park is brought to life at the Cleveland History Center with rides on the Euclid Beach Carousel and cones of Euclid Beach Frozen Whip. Concrete Concerts Present: The Cleveland Cello Quartet
To promote the local music scene this summer, Concrete Concerts is offering local artists the opportunity to perform at unconventional venues along East Ninth Street. The Cleveland Cello Quartet, comprised of past and present students of the Cleveland Institute of Music, takes to Phoenix Coffee Co. to provide some tunes with your brew. Garfield Gallop
Looking to soak up some rays and take in nature this weekend? Consider participating in the inaugural Garfield Gallop, a 5K run and walk at the James A. Garfield National Historic Site. Participants get a costume beard and the fastest three finishers receive a top hat. If you rather be in the cheering section, this event also offers a chance to view the 20th U.S. president’s home, as well as a history lesson about the site from none other than James and Lucretia Garfield themselves — re-enactors of course. Reigning Cats & Dogs Exhibit
If you still want more after watching The Secret Life of Pets, scurry over to this Cleveland Print Room exhibit full of furry, scaled and feathered friends. This collection of pictures by the Cleveland Photographic Society offer unique shots of the conventional, the weird, and the straight-up strange pets that live in Cleveland. Attendees will utter a few “awes” and “how cutes” when weaving their way through this exhibition, which runs through Aug. 13.
