Breathe in, breathe out — this instruction from yoga instructors everywhere is everything right now. “We need to get people moving and breathing and being in your body to manage the levels of stress that we’re all dealing with,” says Vision Yoga & Wellness owner Theresa Gorski. Celebrate National Yoga Month this month by centering yourself at some of our favorite local yoga studios.

Flow Yoga Studio
The studio primarily offers heated vinyasa classes, so be prepared to sweat. The studio has adapted to the conditions caused by the pandemic by offering classes through various formats, including in-studio, outdoor and virtual sessions. In addition to heated vinyasa classes, Flow also offers a few low-impact classes called slow flow, which focus on being mindful. “I think like anything else, if you just give [yoga] a shot, you might really end up liking it,” owner Adam Tilocco says. “And it might benefit you in the short term and the long term.” 6673 Wilson Mills Road, Gates Mills, 440-459-1843, flowyogastudiocle.com

Vision Yoga & Wellness
This Ohio City spot's classes optimize energy flows for all experience levels, and the studio emphasizes the importance of wellness through body work. While the pandemic has temporarily halted in-person classes, the instructors quickly pivoted to providing virtual yoga sessions and meditations through its Facebook group to make sure customers stay healthy. “[Yoga and wellness] really complement each other,” Gorski says. “I give a lot of attention to things that help with posture and relief and therapeutic movements.” 2600 Church Ave., Cleveland, 440-667-4647, visionyoga.net

Yoga Strong Studios
Find your oasis in this studio amid the hustle and bustle of downtown. Yoga-goers can choose from one of three flow level classes that focus on a mix of athletic or restorative sessions. For people who don’t want to go into the studio just yet, check out the virtual offerings through Yoga Strong OnDemand or keep watch for their outdoor yoga series in partnership with the Cleveland Cavaliers. “I think yoga is so important to do because it focuses on everything at one time,” says owner Amanda Fulmer. “It’s like a beautiful choreography.” 1104 Prospect Ave. E, Cleveland, 216-600-5566, yogastrongstudios.com
