Call her the girl who cried werewolf. Despite her spring claim that she’d been cast as Emily in the movie version of Stephanie Meyer’s New Moon, you won’t see Cleveland B-movie starlet Brenna Roth on screen when the Twilight sequel hits theaters Nov. 10. The reason: It appears she was never cast in the movie in the first place. We first reported the controversy surrounding Roth’s claim in April (“Catching a Buzz”), after two Twilight fan sites poked holes in an interview the actress gave with a movie industry blog in which she said her work on New Moon was already complete. When an official cast list eventually came out, her name wasn’t on it. Here’s where it gets even more confusing: Roth actually has a part in the film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel The Road, which hits theaters Oct. 16. At least we think she does.
