This is where the magic happens. Since opening in 1995 as Ohio’s first brew-on-premises microbrewery, The Brew Kettle has evolved into a laid-back, community-focused brewpub. Inquisitive beer enthusiasts at the Strongsville location can use the 6-kettle personal brew system system to craft their own concoctions in 72-bottle batches using 70 in-house recipes that cover everything from light lagers and pilsners to ales and IPAs.

That craft-your-own mentality spills into the overall layout of the taproom in which beer trays are actual keg toppers. But if you’d rather kick back with a ready-made beer, the Brew Kettle has got you covered with more than 30 craft beers such as the White Rajah ($6 for 16 ounces), a West Coast-style IPA full of citrus and tropical fruit flavor.

Our Pick: The Majoe Lager ($5 for 16 ounces), a clean and refreshing light American lager with a slight hint of American hops.
