Sometimes, the kick of espresso is just the kind of jolt we need to tackle the day. But thanks to Seven Brothers Distilling Co., we can wind down with it too.

The Painesville distillery’s Espresso Infusion vodka ($22.87 per 750ml bottle) delivers the unmistakable taste and smell of freshly made coffee in a boozy package. Inspired by Seven Brothers co-owner John Lesnick’s love for a cup of joe, the vodka is vacuum-distilled with ground coffee beans sourced from Phoenix Coffee Co., resulting in a drink that’s got the roasted taste of espresso without the bitterness.

“Most people like a good-tasting coffee that isn’t bitter, because if it is, they end up adding sweeteners, just masking the flavor of the coffee,” Lesnick says.

While Espresso Infusion can be enjoyed straight up or on the rocks, Lesnick recommends pairing it with vanilla cream for a cozy beverage perfect to sip as temperatures drop.

“It’s an authentic, natural flavor without any added sugars,” he says. “This is just a refreshing, crisp vodka, but with coffee aroma and flavor.” 7755 Brakeman Road, Painesville, 216-930-4330, sevenbrothersdistillingco.com
