It’s easy to miss the mural on the side of a building or a sculpture on a street corner, but the City is Our Museum campaign invites you to slow down and explore on a self-guided walking tour of West Side public art. Created by Land Studio to get antsy Clevelanders outside during the pandemic, the 4 1/2-mile tour starts at Edgewater Park, weaves through Detroit Shoreway over to Hingetown and then loops back along the new lakefront bike trail.

“The main focus is public art, but we’re open to adding other interesting things to make the tour a cool, cultural treasure map,” says Erin Guido, the cam-paign’s project manager. The tour highlights more than 40 works of art, including the Prince doughnut mural and architectural gems such as St. John’s Episcopal Church. And don’t forget to snag a pic and share on social media with #TheCityIsOurMuseum.

The campaign’s next tour, which launches this fall, moves east to the Buckeye-Shaker area. “It’s about really appreciating all the beautiful things that are outside,” says Guido. 216-621-5413, land-studio.org
