Best Of CLE: Quirky Welcome Mats

Few things give better first impressions than a welcome mat that reads “Like a good neighbor, stay over there.” Claire Ramovic, owner of Freckled Lemons, became a mastermind behind an assortment of hilarious welcome mats when she made her first for a Friendsgiving in 2018.

Since then, she’s doled out around 1,500 with pop culture nods (peep the “I can’t believe you came! That’s what she said.” The Office bestseller), hilarious quotes and eye-catching attention to detail. When customers order the mats from her Etsy shop, Ramovic creates the design for each one by starting with a stencil she creates on her computer. Then, she paints over each stencil on the mat, letting it dry overnight and touching up its edges before shipping them out.
