Blazing Bistro: Built inside a shipping container, this faux food truck sits behind the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum on the East Ninth Street Pier, where Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry culinary program graduates fire up a variety of old-school street treats. Try one of the three kinds of fries — eggplant ($7), waffle or funnel cake ($4). "I try to keep it fresh, light and keep everything simple," says chef Mark Ridenour. East Ninth Street Pier, Cleveland, 216-658-4624, blazingbistro.com

Blue Edge: Girls don't want to be prim and proper all the time. That's the thought behind this shipping container boutique, a sassy collaboration between Willoughby's Blue Envelope and Edge Hair Studios. You'll find tie-dyed journals, cellphone cases imprinted with "I'm very busy," plus organic, biodegradable hair products. "It's such a fun combination of smart-ass, pretty stuff," says Blue Envelope owner Rachel Prem. West Sixth Street and St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, 440-510-8516, smallboxcle.com

FWD Day & Nightclub: This seasonal shipyard-turned-nightclub on the East Bank of the Flats will have you feeling like a superstar every summer with poolside bottle service, onstage VIP access and private cabanas all within 15 feet of a set of train tracks. "When the music is going, the lights are going and the train goes by, it's a really special scene," says owner Bobby Rutter. "There's basically a train in our building." 1176 Front Ave., Cleveland, 216-417-6282, fwdnightclub.com
